This is a poem I wrote for one if my best friends, who have passed away, a long while back. Her name is Tonya. I wrote this poem in December, a year after she died. I'm just posting it, because I've been told it is good, and I guess I want to express it out or something. T_T Anyways, here it is:

"A girl with a tender heart
A girl so uniquely smart
Not a care in the world
A fun person, which we hold

Off the bus, on that night
Your life was scattered
A car accident, turned to fright
Our hopes then shattered

The crimson flow of life
Coursed through your veins
Each one of us turned to strife
But we still couldn’t hide the pain

The mind masks
Spirit going out, we weep
You now forever sleep
As we all mourn for our loss

All those thorny ways
We lived in those harshly days
A year, we had to tighten the belt
No way to describe what we felt

We can’t undo this, it’s over
I still can’t believe it’s already done
You’ve crossed and no one won
But still we think of you like no other

Tonya, when we met
No one would ever forget
There’s no bitterness
With us, forever you’ll be with

We know you’re in a better place
Ready for us, you wait
So we wipe our tears away
Smiling, for you in his grace

We love you, Tonya
Always will..."
